What Kind Of Man Do You Intend To Be In 2024?
Video overview: If you want 2024 to be different, good intentions won’t be enough. This conversation is about getting honest with yourself, choosing what really matters, and becoming the man who can actually create a better year instead of just hoping for one.

Most men start a new year with good intentions.

They want to get healthier. They want to be more present. They want to improve their marriage. They want to stop reacting so much. They want to feel more confident, more focused, more alive, and more like the man they know they could be.

And for a few days or weeks, it feels possible.

Then life gets busy again.

Work gets demanding. The kids need things. Your wife is still distant or critical. Your old habits show up. Your mind starts telling you the same old stories. And before long, the year begins to look a lot like the one before it.

Not because you’re lazy.

Not because you don’t care.

Because hope is not a plan.

A lot of men “hope” they’ll have a good year. They hope the marriage gets better. They hope their wife becomes more affectionate. They hope they’ll finally feel motivated. They hope the stress calms down. They hope they’ll stop feeling so anxious, angry, lonely, or stuck.

But hope without ownership is weak.

It waits.

It wishes.

It looks outside for signs that life is finally going to cooperate.

And brother, that is not how a man creates a year he respects.

This episode is about thinking differently. Not in a cheesy New Year’s resolution way. Not with some fantasy that January suddenly makes you a new person. I’m talking about getting honest enough to ask better questions.

What do I actually want this year?

Who do I need to become to create it?

What am I still tolerating that keeps me stuck?

What am I avoiding because I don’t want to feel uncomfortable?

What habits, stories, and excuses followed me from last year into this one?

Those questions matter.

Because if you don’t stop and answer them, the year will answer for you.

You’ll drift. You’ll react. You’ll keep doing what you’ve always done while quietly hoping it produces a different result. You’ll keep focusing on the outside game while your inside game stays weak.

Most men know how to work hard. They know how to provide, perform, fix, earn, solve, and keep going. They know how to look responsible from the outside.

But inside, many men are not clear.

They don’t know what they really want. They don’t know what they stand for. They don’t know how to handle rejection without shrinking or getting resentful. They don’t know how to lead themselves when their wife is distant. They don’t know how to stay calm when life doesn’t give them reassurance.

So they keep trying to improve the outside while neglecting the man inside.

That is why so many good intentions die.

You can set goals all day long, but if you don’t change the emotional state, identity, and habits you bring to those goals, you will probably end up back where you started.

That’s not meant to discourage you.

It’s meant to wake you up.

Because the good news is that a great year does not require a perfect life. It does not require your wife to suddenly change. It does not require every problem to disappear. It does not require you to feel motivated every morning.

It requires you to become more deliberate.

More honest.

More committed.

More willing to choose.

That is where confidence begins.

A man who creates a better year stops waiting for permission. He stops waiting until the marriage feels safe before he becomes strong. He stops waiting until he feels inspired before he takes care of his body. He stops waiting until his wife appreciates him before he decides to live from his values.

He starts leading himself first.

That may sound simple, but it changes everything.

Because when you lead yourself, you stop making your life a reaction to other people’s moods, choices, and approval. You stop saying, “I’ll be okay when they change.” You start saying, “This is who I am choosing to be, starting now.”

That is powerful.

This episode will help you look at the year ahead with clearer eyes. You’ll hear coaching questions and answers designed to help you stop drifting and start choosing. You’ll see the common traps that leave men at the end of the year wondering why nothing really changed.

One of those traps is vagueness.

“I want a better marriage” is not clear enough.

“I want to be healthier” is not clear enough.

“I want to be more confident” is not clear enough.

Those are good desires, but they need your honesty underneath them.

What would a better marriage require from you today?

What does a healthier man do when he’s tired?

What does a confident man say when he’s afraid of upsetting someone?

What does a strong man stop pretending is okay?

That’s where the work becomes real.

Another trap is trying to do it alone.

Men love to isolate when things get hard. We think we should figure it out ourselves. We think needing support means we’re weak. We think talking to other men about our marriage, fear, shame, anger, or confusion is something other guys do.

But the truth is, you can only grow so much inside your own head.

You need other men who can challenge you, support you, call you forward, and remind you who you are when you forget. You need a place where you can tell the truth without performing.

That is how a man becomes stronger.

So if you want 2024 to be a really good year, don’t just ask what you want to happen.

Ask who you are willing to become.

Because the year will not change just because the calendar changed.

It will change when you do.

Make this year mean something

If you’re tired of starting years with good intentions and ending them in the same place, we can help you get clear. You don’t need more hoping — you need calm, honest support to become the man who creates the life and relationship he wants.
